Don't skip breakfast this holiday season: 21 ingredients to help keep you healthy

During the holiday season it is even easier (or easier to rationalize) skipping a meal to save room, or save calories, for that larger meal or holiday gathering later in the day, and all the goodies or savory dishes that await. But don't give in — breakfast is too important to the functioning of the body throughout the day and to staying healthy, especially during one of the busiest times of year. One key to managing arthritis is to reduce the impact and side effects, specifically inflammation, which can be mitigated by adhering to an anti-inflammatory diet. Check out this quick list of 21 ingredients that can be included in breakfast to support an anti-inflammatory diet.

Webinars spotlight research funded by ANRF donors

This past fall, the ANRF hosted a five-part webinar series, with each session spotlighting a specific type of arthritis or related autoimmune disease. Current Scientific Advisory Board members hosted each webinar and throughout the webinars, 22 panelists, either currently or previously ANRF funded, presented the latest in breakthroughs, diagnostic tools, procedures and research & development. This research is only made possible because of donors who support the ANRF grants and the early career investigators who receive them. We can not thank our donors enough and trust that after watching these webinars, donors will be proud of the work and the people they support.

We invite you to bookmark the Research Spotlight Series page and be sure to watch all five, meet the scientists and learn about their research. Warning: you might want to take a few notes (it’s that good) and it’s likely you’ll be compelled to donate and support this ongoing research and the people making it happen.
